Paul Linke (Breslau 1844 - 1917 Breslau) - painter, initially worked as a locksmith. From 1868 he stayed in Berlin, where in 1869-72 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under J. Schrader, K. Pfannschmidt, A. Eybl and F. Bellermann. After his studies, he settled in Breslau. At that time he painted portraits, genre, historical and religious paintings. Since the early 1970s, he traveled extensively, painting numerous landscapes, landscape and plant studies. His paintings and drawings can be found, among others, in Polish museum collections - in Warsaw, Jelenia Gora, Wroclaw. In 1997, a large group of the artist's works was presented at an exhibition at the National Museums of Wroclaw and Warsaw (see: P.Lukaszewicz, A.Kozak, Images of Nature.
