Etching; comp. size: 256 × 350 mm, signed within the composition lower left (on the trunk at which the student is sitting and rubbing paint): D.1733 [reversed] ; beside (on the floor): Norblin fecit 1774. ; under the engraving left: Peint par Ditrycy ; right: Gravé a Varsovie par Norblin.

Graphic dedicated to Prince Adam Czartoryski, general of the Podolski Lands, who brought the artist to Poland in 1774, with whom Norblin accepted the position of court painter. This was to showcase Norblin's proficiency as an engraver. Lit. by F. Hillemacher, Catalogue des Estampes..., Paris 1999, item 11.
