Marian Paweł Bocianowski – born in 1954 in Łódź, he graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź between 1976 and 1981. He received his diploma in 1982 from the Department of Printmaking. He works in printmaking, painting, and book illustration. Marian Paweł Bocianowski’s graphic works
are characterized by a very precise, meticulous preparation of the plates, which translates into a subtle depiction of reality.
In Bocianowski’s world, everything is depicted with great deliberation. When the subject matter is lighthearted by nature, we laugh along with the artist; however,
when difficult themes enter the arena, we are surprised by the full range of diverse emotions arising from the experience. In his prints, Bocianowski creates a unique poetic style, resulting from a combination of inspiration drawn from nature, literature, and a sense of humor.
