Banknote 1 Polish mark 1919 MODEL, series : I Series CA, so called Vienna issue.
Current numbering, like all designs of this series starting with 116.... . Double-sided diagonal overprint "MODEL" placed between two parallel lines, in brown.
This is the correct pattern for issuing Viennese marks, with the frequent occurrence of forgeries of various types (with running numbering), here we have a certain pattern from the era. The MODEL overprint itself is also not questionable, the font used in it is characteristic of MODEL overprints of Polish mark issues of the Second Republic. It is one of the variations of the pattern. This banknote, due to the rather large availability of this denomination on the collector market but in the circulating version, is quite an underestimated value, and the opportunity to buy it appears rarely.
An attractive piece, confirmed by the corresponding PMG grading note. The banknote has a 0.5cm paper tear in the upper margin and traces of rust from a paperclip - this is noted in the description on the slab.
