Banknote 5 guilders 01.11.1923 - issued by the Gdansk Central Bank.
This is one of the denominations of the so-called guilder transition currency. The 5 guilders with the November date is extremely rare, due to the low mintage, it is one of the rarest banknotes of Danzig. With the letter S above the numbering, which means - Sonder Ausgabe, or "special edition". Wanted regardless of the state of preservation.
A nice, natural piece, with good presence, confirmed by the corresponding PMG grading note. The banknote has a 0.5cm paper tear on the upper margin and a trace of pasting, a given method of fixing banknotes in albums - as noted in the description on the slab. In the PMG registry, this is one of only seven pieces robbed there.
