K. Bunsch (1898-1987) - historical writer, translator, doctor of laws. Soldier of the Legions, participant in the Polish-Soviet war of 1920, last pre-war president of the "Sokol" Gymnastic Society in Krakow. "His main literary achievement was a multi-volume series of novels of the Piast era known as 'Piast Novels,' already popular since the publication of the first book (Wild Treasure, 1945) [...]. Based on reliable historical knowledge, although representing the interpretation of the time, [...] they immediately gained great popularity due to their attractive plot and abbreviated narrative.
