He has been carving in wood since 1998. He continues the family tradition after his uncle, the well-known sculptor Bogdan Gębski (1948-2005). Although the sculptural forms are close to Gębski's work, they are decidedly different in the method of polychromy used. Swierczynski's expansive palette of pastel colors is countered with black lines in appropriate places.
The author of numerous folk works is eager to express himself in both multifigural sculpture and relief. He moves well in the world of biblical themes, so there are roadside shrines with the Sorrowful One, or his separate realizations, images of patron saints, and above all Angels. Some in a static other in a dynamic shot with a prop in hand or integrated into the background. He also shows in his works genre scenes of everyday village life.
He has great talent, as evidenced by his numerous awards and prizes in folk art competitions. His works are eagerly purchased by galleries in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Krakow.
Sculptures in the collection of: the Regional Chamber of the WDK in Kielce. (Cultural Information Portal of the Świętokrzyskie Province)
