Witold Warzywoda – born in 1956 in Łowicz. From 1976 to 1981
he studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (currently the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts) in Łódź at the Department of Graphic Arts and Painting. He earned his diploma in printmaking in the Studio of Lithographic Techniques under Prof. Jerzy Grabowski, with supplementary studies in the Studio of Woodcut Techniques under Prof. Andrzej Bartczak and in the Studio of Drawing under Prof. Leszek Rózga. Associate Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. He specializes in planographic printing and has focused primarily on color lithography for many years. He is the author, editor, and publisher (Studio WW Witold Warzywoda) of numerous artistic and literary publications. For 20 years, he has been the curator of the Amcor Gallery in Łódź. Warzywoda’s prints are most often ironic authorial commentaries of impeccable composition, showcasing a full range of creative possibilities from still lifes to contemporary reinterpretations of works by the great masters or quotations from the Bible.
