Fingerprint / venus in fur.
The artist began working on a series of fingerprints in Prof. Wegner's studio while she was still a master's student at UAP. The series refers to Wislawa Szymborska's poem " faces".
Faces.
Billions of faces on the surface of the world.
Apparently each one different
From those that were and will be.
But Nature - for who knows her - is.
perhaps tired of working incessantly
repeats its past ideas
and puts on our faces
once worn before.
Maybe she passes you Archimedes in jeans,
Tsarina Catherine in clothes from a sale,
some pharaoh with a briefcase, wearing glasses.
The widow of a barefoot shoemaker
From the still tiny city of Warsaw,
Someone fallen two hundred centuries ago,
five centuries ago
And half a century ago.
Billions of faces on the surface of the world.
Your face, my face, whose face -
you will never know.
Maybe Nature cheats must,
and in order to make time, and in order to make enough
begins to catch what is submerged
In the mirror of oblivion.
