Biography
Visual artist known for his satirical drawings, caricatures and illustrations, as well as posters, both aimed at the youngest and adults. At the age of 8, in 1955, he was awarded a prize in a drawing contest organized by "Płomyczek". He made his debut in 1971 with illustrations in "Szpilki." The same year he appeared in the biweekly "Student" and "Echo of Krakow." He collaborated with many titles such as "Gazeta Wyborcza," "Playboy," "Przekrój," "Reader's Digest," "Świerszczyk," and "Wiedza i Życie." He also drew in the TV show "Boutique". He is the author of two cartoons published in the 1980s in the cartoon story magazine "Relax". He has published several collections of drawings, including "Draw Me, Dad," "About Grandparents and Grandchildren," "Black Series," "Black Series for Children," "Like a String," "It's Only a Joke," and "Miscellaneous, Square and Elongated Drawings." He illustrated more than 130 children's books, including Alexander Fredro's "Monkey in the Bath" and Agnieszka Osiecka's "Carol of the Mouse." An artist with a distinctive line and a great sense of humor, he is a multiple winner of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Pin.
