Etching, handmade paper, 51 x 37 cm; signg.l.d.: "J.B.Greuze" and p.d.: "J.Massard en 1773". On the back traces of old mounting, good condition.
Famous print repeatedly issued in reprints until today. The author of the painting is the famous court painter of the King of France. The engraver is Jean Massard (1740-1822). Pieces of this print are held by the Louvre in Paris, the British Museum, the National Gallery of Scotland, among others. Dedication dedicated to the famous singer Sophie Arnould, supported by the royal family and Madame de Pompadour.
