The volume describes various stories related to the Temple of the Resurrection in Jerusalem, such as the capture of Jerusalem during the crusades by Godfrey of Bouillon, as well as analyzing masonic symbols to indicate specific places within the Holy City.
Inside the work there are 4 tables regarding the inscriptions on the Holy Sepulcher and a plan of the Temple of the Resurrection. What makes this copy, rarely put on sale, truly unique is the presence of 4 tables folded several times, unlike the Yale and Washington University copies which contain only 1 plate.


Combined with Cronologia dei re Latini, Livorno 1784, this work is also considered particularly rare.
In 1784 Mariti published Cronologia dei Re Latini. The work, printed in Livorno by the publisher Falorni, was dedicated by the author to the prefect of the magliabechiana library, Ferdinando Fossi. In the preface to the treatise Mariti declares that, having already spoken about it in his Viaggi della Storia di Gerusalemme, he had decided to complete his work by adding a chronology not only of all the Latin kings who had governed the city of Jerusalem, but also of those who, having lost the dominion of the capital, continued to govern in Syria, on the island of Cyprus and in Armenia; he neglected research relating to the royal houses of Europe, who by inheritance still claimed the title of king of Jerusalem. It goes from Goffredo di Buglione (1099) to Giacomo, posthumous son of Giacomo known as the bastard, who died as a child in 1475”.
