Very rare second edition of "Journey to the East" by Maurice Mann.

"Indeed, the account of this journey impresses with a wealth of contemporary moral and political observations, surprisingly pertinent reflections and thoughts. Mann was perhaps one of the last who was given the opportunity to be
in the mysterious and romantic East, and at the same time he was able to observe an incredibly important stage in the formation of modern forms of statehood in the area, which was often accompanied by turbulent political, social and moral breakthroughs.
