Barbara Rosiak graduated from Prof. Leszek Rózga's Studio of Intaglio Techniques at the State Higher School of Visual Arts (now the Academy of Fine Arts) in Lodz, Poland, in 1979. She was a distinguished student and, already as an independent artist, an outstanding representative of the so-called Leszek Rózga school in contemporary Polish printmaking. She creates graphic compositions in classical metal techniques (etching, aquatint and others), often in color. The main themes of her work are elaborate, symbolic and fantastic landscapes and vedutas, in which she accumulates architectural motifs, decorative details and ornaments from historical periods. In addition to printmaking, the artist is involved in painting and drawing. She has participated in many group exhibitions at home and abroad. She has had more than 20 solo exhibitions in Poland and in Sweden, Holland, Norway, USA, Germany, among others.
