Biography
A graduate of the postgraduate program “Visual Arts in Architecture” at the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Her first collages were created in 2013 in the Painting Studio under the supervision of Prof. Leszek Mickos. The artist’s collages are made from colorful newspapers and magazines, without the use of paint; paper is the only material used to create the image. Colorful pieces are cut out, glued onto cotton canvas, and sealed with an acrylic medium. The works primarily depict urban landscapes. In her works, the artist depicts urban architecture, striving to capture the atmosphere of a place, the seasons, and the time of day, while encouraging viewers to explore the city’s hidden corners. The paper pieces usually do not depict any specific objects, with the exception of the works from the “Window Stories” series—in this series, the artist uses windows to reveal interiors, scenes, and objects that may serve as metaphors for human experiences.
