Paulina LIGNAR (b. 1979), Trees, 2026

Born in 1979. In 2005, she graduated from the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Faculty of Painting, in the studio of Prof. Leszek Misiak and Prof. Adam Wsiołkowski; prior to that, in 2004, she studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna, Faculty of Painting, in the conceptual art studio of Prof. Adi Rosenblum. For the 2004–2005 academic year, she received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture for outstanding artistic and academic achievements. Her works have been used as illustrations and book covers for contemporary Polish writers. She has held numerous exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. She currently exhibits her art primarily in virtual form. She lives and works in the mountains.
