ŁOZIŃSKA, Maja; ŁOZIŃSKI, Jan — Design and Fashion in Prewar Poland. Olszanica 2022. BOSZ Publishing. 4, p. 319, [1]. Original paperback binding.
Very good condition. "Design and Fashion in Prewar Poland is a coffee-table book devoted to design, interiors, and fashion in the Second Polish Republic, covering the period from the famous Paris exhibition in 1925—where, as Jerzy Warchałowski noted years later — Poland regained its ‘artistic independence’—all the way to the New York World’s Fair in 1939. The book presents the most interesting designs for furniture, functional ceramics, tableware, cars, motorcycles, and even locomotives designed and manufactured in Poland. It also showcases the interiors of apartments and stores, as well as clothing created in the studios of Polish artists and designers of the time. The album contains over 280 black-and-white and color illustrations—most of them previously unpublished—drawn from the National Digital Archives, the National Library, and many other collections. The volume is preceded by a comprehensive historical introduction." [From the Publisher].
