"Raster"—an independent magazine devoted to Polish contemporary art, founded in Warsaw in 1995 by Łukasz Gorczyca, Michał Kaczyński, and Adam Olszewski. The magazine published art criticism, exhibition reviews, columns, essays, and interviews, distinguished by its direct, often ironic language and critical stance toward the official art scene. It played a significant role in shaping Polish art criticism at the turn of the 1990s and 2000s. In 2000, “Raster” moved online, where it operated as a “rapid-response online weekly.”

This issue features, among others, Marcin Świetlicki, Marcin Maciejowski, Michał Kaczyński, Artur Cezar Krasicki, Krzysztof Szczypiorski, Sławomir Mateja, Krzysztof Varga, Adam Olszewski, Filip Zawada, and Jacek Podsiadło.
