One of the finest memoirs of the Napoleonic era, written in exquisite literary language by an outstanding poet and playwright, who was also a participant in the campaigns of 1812–1814 under the banners of the 2nd Uhlan Regiment in the Napoleonic armies. Interesting iconography, chalk paper.
