A dress uniform worn by enlisted sailors during ceremonies or formal occasions. The Navy Dress Blue uniform consists of a navy blue wool sweater, navy blue pants, and a dress cap in the same color. For less formal occasions, the standard Navy White cap was worn instead of the navy blue dress cap. The dress sweater features 1/4-inch-wide white stripes on the cuffs and collar, as well as two embroidered white stars at the corners of the collar lapels. The cuffs have a double row of stripes, the number of which corresponded to the sailor’s rank. Under the collar is a Naval Clothing Factory label and the soldier’s signature, “Carpenter.”
Overall condition as shown in the photos.
