Engraved and gold inlaid double barrel shotgun with side locks, Defourny system, by Jindřich Holeček

No. 10911, identical numbers. Barrels side by side, calibre 12/65. Barrel length 60 cm. On the right barrel there is a signature in gold: 'J. HOLEČEK' and on the left barrel 'HRADEC - KRÁLOVÉ'. Fully rifled barrel with a mirror smooth bore. Brass sight on the centre rail, automatic extractors. The barrels are identically numbered and have a belt loop on the underside. Bascule, side locks, pommel, fore-guard fittings and bow are decorated with floral ornaments and arabesques and the pommel bears a gold crown. The underside of the bascule is marked 'A. JOS. DEFOURNY / BREVETE'. Double trigger, automatic sliding safety with gold-tauced "S". Walnut wood forearm with herringbone and inlaid gold number "2". Walnut stock with fine herringbone neck and belt loop, gold inlaid number "2" again on the back, gold monogrammed "CJ" on the right side. Czechoslovakia, circa 1930, length 100 cm. HOLECEK" and "HRADEC - KRALOVE" on the top left. Barrels with full and improved modified chokes. Mirror like bore. Single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib, auto ejectors. Barrels are numbered to the gun and have a sling swivel mounted on the underside. The receiver, side locks, break lever, forearm hardware and tangs are nicely floral scroll engraved with a gold inlaid crown on the break lever. The bottom of the receiver is marked " A. JOS. DEFOURNY / BREVETE". Double triggers, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "S" Checkered walnut forearm with a gold inlaid number "2 "and straight grip stock with a checked bare butt and sling swivel.
