Jakub Elwertowski - born 26.12.1976, doctor of art in the discipline of fine arts and conservation (2019), graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń with a specialization in easel painting (2001) and the Gdańsk Higher School of Humanities (2009); creator of the art group "Parter02" and the Atelier of Creative Processes "Apetyt" dealing with the preparation of high school students for entrance exams to art and architecture faculties at the Academy of Fine Arts and polytechnics, both at home and abroad. About himself: "I consider myself a searching artist. I hate to close myself within the framework of one creative path, as well as I hate mannerisms and pigeonholing. I like creative experimentation, creativity and improvisation. I can't stand pseudo-philosophical gibberish and over-emphasizing content over form. I draw handfuls from Tarasin, Stażewski and Dwurnik's life approach. Art is for everyone, hence I very often go outside the official gallery walls. I am in constant artistic motion. I am not afraid of challenges."
