Biography
He studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and received his diploma from Prof. Ludwik Maciąg’s studio in 1985. One of his first solo exhibitions took place at the Zapiecek Gallery in Warsaw (1987); that same year, he received a gold medal at the Biennale of Sacred Art in Gorzów. He has exhibited his works in major European and American galleries. He paints large-format figures and figurative scenes full of dynamism and movement, which he emphasizes through the asymmetry of his compositions. The scenes he depicts sometimes give the impression of continuing beyond the canvas. He uses saturated colors and contrasting light and shadow. His works are held in private collections in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, and South Africa.
