Urszula Miącz-Sobieraj was born in Raciborowice in the Lublin region. She studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz, where she received a diploma in painting in the studio of Prof. Zdzislaw Glowacki in 1974. She does oil painting, watercolor, pastel and drawing. Her favorite subject is flowers. She is also involved in book illustration.
