Aleksander Olszewski (1944), graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (now the Academy of Fine Arts) in Lodz. He has worked since 1981 at Radom Technical University, where he taught in the Department of Art, of which he was the founder, since 2001 with the title of full professor. The artist's work is contained in the purist geometric abstraction called "concrete art". The surface of canvas, board, paper is covered with a balanced composition of lines and the areas of color they delineate, usually in black to white and shades of gray, but also in pastel colors. Inspiration comes both from visual analyses of structures and tensions between vectors of line and color and the plane, but also from views of nature and surrounding reality, such as the desert horizon, the course of highways. The artist has presented his works at numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his works are in museum and private collections.
