"Jadwiga Andegawenska, Queen Jadwiga, Jadzia, Jadwisia She was eleven years old when she was crowned king in a country foreign to her. A few months later, she was given in marriage to a pagan twenty years older than her. She died in childbirth, a few days after her daughter. She was twenty-five years old at the time.
After nearly six centuries, for her spiritual, political and cultural merits, men, the Catholic clergy declared her a saint.
Jan Matejko drew her as a woman of fair stature, at least 30 years old, looking boldly at the viewer, pleased with herself and her accomplishments. A century earlier, the image of Jadwiga painted by Marcello Bacciarelli shows a more beautiful and flirtatious Jadwiga, according to the fashion of the time. Unlike the vision of our greatest national painter, the portrayed cannot be suspected of being interested in matters of the highest importance, but she is definitely younger. In contrast, on the marble sarcophagus made by Antoni Madyski from Wawel Cathedral, Jadwiga appears to us as an ascetic, praying woman with a dog at her feet as a symbol of fidelity.

Biography
Painter, embroiderer, ceramicist and graphic artist. She co-founded Zderzak Gallery in the 1980s and Otwarta Pracownia Gallery in the 1990s. She actively participates in artistic life. She has organized about forty solo exhibitions. She is the author of ephemeral outdoor realizations, including "Feast in the Bubble, 2018, " Garden of Memories, 2019. From time to time she recreates her mother's performances. In 2015, she founded Image Lending, and in 2024 she published a book titled. "Avant-garde between kitchen and bathroom". She lives and works in Krakow.
