"Painting is for me something more than just filling the plane with color and an attempt Painting is for me something more than just filling the plane with color and an attempt to interpret the surrounding reality, so with full awareness and responsibility I reject schemes leading to art that comments on current events. I focus my attention primarily on being able to capture and include in the painting some truth about reality, about the nature experienced, while at the same time trying to reflect the spirit of that reality."
