The painting "Poppies" refers to a view recorded during a railroad journey, and was painted as part of the "Places" series, which consists of paintings defined by the surprising mystery and enigma of a particular place. In this painting, a field of poppies plays such a role.

Jacek Dluzewski
Year b: 1966 University professor, leads the 8th Drawing Studio. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (now Academy of Fine Arts) in Wroclaw (1986-1989) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1989-1992) at the Faculty of Painting. Diploma in the atelier of Prof. Jerzy Nowosielski in 1992. Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, leads the Drawing Studio at the Faculty of Painting. Two-time scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture (2003, 2005). Winner of Competitions: Lexmark European Art Prize 2003 (Distinction, CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw); E. Geppert Competition in 1993 (Main Prize, National Exhibition of Young Painting, BWA, Wroclaw). He works in painting and drawing. He works in the area of figurative, landscape and spatial shots. Most of his works are realized in cycles. Takes up issues related to the form of recording and representation of reality, creating and discovering its new meanings, Lives in Krakow.
