The first half of the 1990s, coinciding with the years of cooperation with the Zderzak Gallery in Cracow (1992-1995), is the so-called "blue period" in the painter's work. As part of the "Hitchhiking" series, "Blue Cities" (1993-1994) are created at that time, depicting European metropolises such as London, Paris, Stuttgart and Barcelona. In 1992-1997 Dwurnik worked on the "Blue" series - semi-abstract seascapes. The works depicted completely different from his previous figurative compositions, highly simplified, synthesized sea views in the title blue tones and in very large sizes. Anna Maria Potocka writes in Dwurnik's exhibition catalog: "These landscapes, which fall into abstraction and even reach horizontal linearity, are old-fashioned aesthetic. They are a synthesis of the real image and can convey its beauty "*. The formal inspiration for painting this series was the activity of cleaning the painting from fresh paint in such a way that streaks were formed. Photographs from vacations to the Baltic Sea were used as sketches. The artist later continued his abstract representation of the world in another series of Tasist paintings under the title Twenty-fifth.
