Graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Scenography Study with Prof. Józef Szajna at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She studied painting in the studio of Teresa Pągowska. In addition to painting, she is involved in drawing, applied graphics and jewelry design. The artist's works are in private collections at home and abroad.
"(...) nothing closes in its time in a definitive way. It lasts and is carried into the future," says Ewa Trafna and portrays fragments of cities, houses on which successive layers of rust or rubble have written their history. Like Detroit, like Warsaw. Different places, different stories, different tenements, but a similar texture of layered images built up. The theme of memory of places and people is the content of the artist's work in other media - objects, installations and performances. Sometimes, however, blue appears on her canvases - as in the painting "I love the cosmos."
