Born in Lubliniec. Graduate of the High School of Arts in Bielsko-Biala and the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Diploma in Prof. Banaszewski's studio in 1995. "In my work I refer to the ancient dichotomy in thinking about man by conceiving of him in a Dionysian or Apollonian way. To the choice between the intellectual and the sensual, between the static and the mobile, between the objectified, dispassionate and the ad hoc and emotional. Finally, it boils down for me to a choice between the face and the body [...] I break down the viewed reality into individual elements, creating it back from signs, in my own way. I take out some elements, exaggerating them and giving them a whole new meaning, others I eliminate or deprive of their original meaning. I use very extreme, even oppositional means of expression: black and white, a thin sharp line and a flat blurry spot, elements of reality very precisely drawn next to only suggested ones." Jacek Dalibor [for: Jacek Dalibor / painting Museum in Gorlice].
