Joanna Albene,
uruodzona November 14, 1967. From an early age she was passionate about being alone with nature, which over time became evident in her desire to express the impressions she experienced through art, mainly painting and drawing. She lived in many scenically interesting places drawing inspiration from nature for her paintings. A change in her approach to painting and especially to the subject matter she undertook was brought by her several-year stay in Karpacz and the close surroundings of the Karkonosze Mountains. She began experimenting with abstraction. She created expressive and colorful works not only on canvas, but also on paper. Every year she was invited to Karpacz to participate in exhibitions organized by local artists. After many years of "wandering," she decided to return to her hometown and settled in Swierzawa, a small town located in the Kaczawskie Mountains. From her window she admires their panorama and the beautiful sunsets over the roofs of the old Świerzawa townhouses. And here now, in the atmosphere of the mild climate and interesting corners of the area that she remembers from her childhood, she creates her impressions and abstractions.
