Jozef Lacki (1944-2025)
Born in 1944. Studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he received his diploma in the studio of Prof. J. Studnicki in 1970. His main area of creative interest was genre scenes, but his artistic output also included landscape, still life, portrait and floral compositions. An important source of inspiration for his paintings were his numerous trips to Italy, including his experiences at the Venice Carnival. In his final years, the artist produced cycles of genre scenes inspired by the paintings of Johannes Vermeer van Delft and Georges de La Toura, including Carnival of Venice and Boudoirs.
