Matthias Fabre was born in 1990 and spent his childhood and youth in Paris. He moves in the field of painting. He draws inspiration from experiments in asemic writing, Japanese calligraphy, and the tag (a form of signature used in graffiti). Fascinated by literature and linguistics, painting is for the artist a space where the boundaries between writing and meaning, form and content are blurred. The artist's works combine features of expressive abstractionism, minimalism and street art.
