Year of creation: 2026
I already know who I am. I walked through the world ... alone. I was looking for a hand that will not retreat in half a gesture. An arm that will not tremble. Proximity that will not have fear in it.You are steaming.Au.You are forging. It hurts.Go away. They were running away. All of them. Every touch ended with a defensive reflex, as if I were a mistake of nature, a mistake of creation. How much can you go through life with your heart stretched out like a request? How much more faith that it will hold out this time?Tired of myself and the search, I gave up. I decided to be silent and surrender to the water. I jumped. But ...the ocean did not move away. It did not scream. It did not run away. It snatched me in its arms with tenderness. It enveloped me. It lifted. He rocked me. My paralysis ceased to be a weapon. They became a dance. And my body a light in the deep. I screamed. Not from pain, but from delight. I waved freely and without fear. I no longer needed to apologize, I found my waters. My boundlessness. My home. And an ocean that is not afraid of my touch.
MONIKA BARTKOWIAK-ZAWADZKA
Artist, whose trademark is the intensity of color and the strength of the emotional message. Her work is a harmonious combination of sensitivity to the beauty of nature with elements of mystery, symbolism and subtle surrealism. Bartkowiak-Zawadzka's paintings are distinguished by richness of color, expression and expressive structure of the painting matter, creating a recognizable and consistently developed artistic language.
The artist is constantly educating herself, searching for new means of expression and experimenting with a variety of painting techniques and strutting the surface of the canvas. Working with layers, texture and light makes her compositions gain depth and multidimensionality, and each realization is an individual study of emotion and color. It is the constant development of her workshop and openness to new formal solutions that keeps her work dynamic, fresh and increasingly appreciated by her audience.
She discovered her interest in art at a very young age - she held her first solo exhibition at the age of fifteen, gaining recognition for her emerging talent. For years her professional path was connected with business, but in her mature years she returned to art, rediscovering her creative potential. She describes herself as an artist who is "at the beginning of a new path," with a strong creative appetite and awareness of her own development.
For her, herfascination with color has become a tool for telling stories and building the emotional narrative of a painting. The artist skillfully combines bold, saturated colors with muted tones, achieving an effect of depth and tension between expression and contemplation. Each brushstroke is deliberate, and the colors enter into a dialogue with each other, inviting the viewer to read the composition personally.
She pays special attention to detail, structure and multi-layering, which gives her works both a realistic and symbolic character. The artist's paintings function as autonomous worlds of emotion, in which the viewer finds both dynamism and inner tranquility.
Her work has been presented at numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, where it is receiving growing interest from collectors and the art community. Monika Bartkowiak-Zawadzka's works can be found in private national and international collections. Dynamic artistic development and consistently built recognition make her work seen as a promising investment direction.
