Work from the collection of the artist's family.
Painter, graphic artist, publicist associated with the Silesian artistic environment, member of the Oneiron group. In 1957 he studied at the Katowice branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in the studio of Jan Dutkiewicz. After early inspiration from the work of Strzeminski and Cezanne, the artist turned to matter painting, creating relief compositions from "non-material" materials, for which the reference was the work of Antonio Tapies. The next stage of his work was symbolic painting. In the 1980s, numerous drawings and pastels were created, during which time the artist devoted himself to public activity. Zygmunt Stuchlik's works are in the collections of the Silesian Museum, the Museum of the History of Katowice, the Archdiocesan Museum in Katowice and in private collections.
