Jacek Sempoliński (1927 Warsaw - 2012 there), Head of the Crucified, 1995.

During the war he studied painting in Warsaw at the K. Krzyżanowski underground school. He graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1951, receiving his diploma in 1956, and was a professor at the Warsaw Academy's Industrial Design Department. He was also an essayist, art critic and stage designer. He was co-author of the polychrome paintings on the townhouses of the Old Town Square in Warsaw. He won one of the main prizes during the legendary Arsenal exhibition (1955). In 1977 he received the J. Cybis Award. Works in museum collections, among others: National Museum in Warsaw, Kielce, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The artist's monographic exhibition was presented by Warsaw's Zachęta Gallery in 2002. Since the 1960s, he has combined motifs drawn from landscape and architecture studies with color and texture solutions close to allusive abstraction (cycles Łysica, Wiązy w Mąchocicach).
