The doll is made using the kimekomi technique. A miniature fan (gold, with a bamboo leaf motif) is tucked behind her belt. The face and hands of the doll are made of hand-painted porcelain. The figure stands on a special stand. The doll is signed on the attached plate. According to the dedication on the back of the plate, the doll was a gift from Kanematsu Industrial Machinery on May 8, 1999.
