Biography
Graduated in sculpture from the Władysław Strzemin´ski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and in history? Art at the University of Lodz. A member of the Kielce Association of Sculptors. As a sculptor, she regularly participates in sculpture symposia (Orońsko, Dubenec, Brno, Kielce-Wietrznia) and exhibitions of her works. Julia Stachowska's sculptures are often minimalist thanks to which they fit perfectly into modern spaces, the artist cooperates with renowned Polish interior designers and her works can be found in many private collections. As she herself says about her work, "Sculpture is the translation of thoughts and emotions into matter. I express myself by creating organic and abstract forms, although sometimes I also feel the need to create a figurative metaphor referring to the world around us. The works I create are also an affirmation of the shape and beauty of the stone material itself. Most often I work in marble, the wonderful thing is that the stone looks completely different in every place on Earth. It differs in the size of crystals, color, hardness or texture - these aspects I like to use in my sculptures.
