Andrzej Szczepaniec "Setta" was born in Kraków, where he graduated from the High School of Fine Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts. In1989, he moved to New York, where he initially worked for an antique restoration company and later took on commissions for New York-based and international firms as well as private clients, creating, among other works, sculptures and portraits of well-known figures from the worlds of entertainment, sports, and politics (he created, among others, sculptural portraits of Reagan and Gorbachev, intended for the Reagan Library), he created set pieces for Broadway plays and films shot in New York, as well as designs for silverware (including for Tiffany & Co.), interior design elements, and architectural models. In 2004, he received an award at the Big Apple Festival for his “Apple Spider-Man” design—the sculpture was installed in Times Square, where it enjoyed immense popularity.

The artist has exhibited his works in Europe and the United States; his sculptures are part of private and public collections around the world and also adorn public spaces, including in Poland and the U.S.
