Biography
Polish painter who studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts under Stanislaw Lorentz between 1908 and 1912. He worked mainly in painting and printmaking. He gained recognition primarily as a portrait painter - among his best-known works is a portrait of Prince Farouk, the Egyptian heir to the throne. He traveled extensively as an artist, visiting Egypt, Lebanon, Iran, France and Italy, among others.
