Christian von Hessen-Rotenburg (1750 - 1782) prince landgraf of the Hessen dynasty, Rothenburg line, canon of Cologne and Strasbourg. He is portrayed wearing the robe of a canon with the sash and star of the Order of the Lion of Gold - a house order of the Hessen dynasty established in 1770.
