THE ARTIST ABOUT BAS-RELIEF:
The inspiration for the realization of relief compositions is a certain experience of time, an attempt to illustrate the transience of our memory and the search for metaphysical space. The works show the process of obliteration of all kinds of acts of presence, events and actions in the material and spiritual layer. The compositions are a subtle combination of drawing, painting and relief. They are made on paper structured by chemical and thermal treatments, which gives an additional 3d effect.
BIO ARTIST:
Graduate of the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow currently an assistant professor in the Drawing Studio at the department. Diploma in 2000 in Prof. Marian Konieczny's studio. Holder of a scholarship granted by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland and the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg where he worked under the supervision of Tim Scott. He has been awarded many times for his artistic work. He has participated in over 60 individual and group exhibitions.
