This finely detailed miniature triptych altar is an exquisite example of 19th-century Neo-Gothic metalwork. The structure is designed with elaborate architectural elements, including a pierced trefoil spire, crocketed pinnacles, and intricate scrollwork. When closed, the exterior doors feature high-relief foliate motifs and are flanked by two niches containing figures of armored knights or saints standing on pedestals.
Upon opening the hinged doors, which are decorated on the interior with a wood-grain texture and ornamental hinges, a radiant gilded relief is revealed. This central panel depicts the Madonna holding the Christ Child, encircled by five winged cherubim in a celestial cloudburst. The base of the altar is stepped and decorated with a series of gothic quatrefoil panels. Cast and chased silvered metal (possibly white metal or silverplate) with a gilded central relief, 29 x 16 cm
