Screen, wood, bronze, size: 29 x 25 x 14cm, signed B.Król 2021:Screen
ARTIST ABOUT THE SCULPTURE:
The sculpture "Screen" made in 2021 of wood and bronze is part of a cycle in the artist's work, referring to the metaphorical interpretation of the phenomena that may occur in the relationship between man and his environment, character and behavior. In the work, the artist does not avoid a sarcastic approach to the subject, exposing human features in the distorted, simplified and abbreviated forms of the polished wooden surface, juxtaposed with strongly contrasting rawness of the patinated metal, anatomical elements expressing gestures and the meaning of the composition.
