Provenance: Work from the Paris collection of Dina Vierny (1919-2009) - a French art dealer, art collector and director of a private gallery, who organized a monographic exhibition of Nikifor at her gallery in Paris in 1959 - which gave rise to many subsequent presentations of Nikifor's paintings around the world (the opening took place on April 15, 1959).
