Turnau Vineyard
Since 2015, 35 hectares
Turnau Vineyard is perhaps the most recognizable of Polish wineries, and by no means only because of its famous name. Some of the best Polish wines come from here by far, and for many voices and authorities, they are simply the best wines in the country.
Without a doubt, it is the largest and one of the most modern projects in the country. Today, Turnau has a lot of competition at the top, but when he entered the game, his plantings were almost half of all the vineyards in the country... From the beginning, everything was very well organized here, Tomasz Kasicki was in charge of designing the crops, and Frank Faust became the oenologist. Today the estate is managed by Jacek Turnau, who shares a common ancestor with the famous Grzegorz Turnau. Of course, because of this, the wine at Turnau Vineyard functions on the borderline of art as much as possible. In the superbly landscaped and beautifully decorated buildings, in addition to the modern winery, you will also find a space where wine can meet music.
The popular and delicious solaris and elegant chardonnay and pinot noir have an important place in the winery's offerings, but the public perhaps sighs most strongly for riesling and sweet ice wine. In the sets on offer you will find mature vintages of Burgundian varietals juxtaposed with their current incarnations, and next to them just riesling, one mature, the other quite young. Both bottles are worth saving for later, they will repay you for your patience!
