Painter, draughtsman, writer, studied law in St. Petersburg and painting with Pankiewicz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1921 to 1924. Together with the Capists, he continued his studies in Paris. After 7 years he returned to the country. He exhibited with a group of colorists, and in 1938 published a monograph on J. Pankiewicz. He spent the second war in the USSR, together with the I Corps went through Persia and Italy to France, where he stayed permanently. The subjects of his works are usually landscapes, simple scenes of everyday city life, framed in an expressive, often grotesque form.
