A large and richly decorated map of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, covering the area from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Black Sea in the south, and from Pomerania and Brandenburg in the west to Moscow and the eastern steppes in the east. The territory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania is highlighted in pink, while the Polish provinces are marked in yellow and green, clearly illustrating the political division of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth across its entire extent. In the upper right corner is a richly detailed allegorical cartouche, executed in the Baroque style, depicting figures symbolizing the wealth and peoples of Poland and Lithuania, including a fur-clad hunter with a musket and hunted game, personifications of abundance holding a cornucopia, farm animals, and a central coat of arms surmounted by a crowned eagle.

The map is based on the cartography of Frederik de Wit and Johann Baptist Homann and was included in all of Seutter’s atlases from 1720 onward. The fourth edition is distinguished by the privilege of the Vicariate of the Holy Roman Empire, added below the title cartouche. Seutter received this privilege during the imperial interregnum of 1740–1742.
