Painter working in the poetics of individually understood and perfected geometric informel. Student and graduate of Stefan Gierowski, from whose studio and creative concept he derived an interest in the geometric solution of the picture plane, the use of color as the essential matter of the construction of the painting image and the gesture that constitutes an indistinguishable painting script. He paints formally disciplined paintings based on the rhythms and harmonies of simple geometric arrangements derived from the landscape. However, what uniquely distinguishes this painting is the blurred, close to informel, joyful tissue of vibrant patches of color, brushstrokes, creating a unique color play of elementary painterly signs, formed when the brush and paint come into contact with the surface of the painting: dots and droplets, particles of pigment, lines and dashes, bringing to mind the record of painterly DNA. Born in 1966 in Wloclawek. Graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with honors in 1994 in the studio of Stefan Gierowski. Since 1993 he has been working in the Studio of Techniques and Technologies of easel painting at the mother department, led by M. Wróblewska. Since 2008 also employed at the Institute of Art Education at the Academy of Special Education in Warsaw. Since 2009 he has been a postdoctoral fellow and professor at the APS.
